Martin Lings, Sufi Scholar and Author
Martin Lings was one of the most eloquent and serene Western voices in Sufism. In his writing, he transmitted a certain vision of the sacred as embodied in this esoteric religion. Lings spent many hours in prayer, specifically to the Virgin Mary, requesting her guidance in finding his spiritual path. In the foreword to one of Dr. Lings’ books “The Sacred Art of Shakespeare: To Take Upon Us the Mystery of Things,” Prince Charles wrote, “Lings’ particular genius lies in his ability to convey, as perhaps no one else has ever done, the theatrical underpinnings of these texts, leaving readers with deep and lasting impressions not only of those masterpieces of dramatic artistry, but of the extraordinary man behind them as well.”

A special thanks to my dear friend Marybeth for helping with this website.
“Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become.” -Unknown Author
